Copenhagen

When we moved here we made a goal to travel as much as we possibly could while in Europe. Our first trip was to Copenhagen, Denmark on 1/25-27. As you can imagine Copenhagen in January is COLD but we had a blast and got to see some snow! Here is a recap of our 48 hours in Copenhagen!

We arrived on Saturday morning and our home while we were there was The Wakeup Hotel:

First stop: Nyhavn

Lunch at Nyhavn 17

Next we went to visit the "free town" of Christiania (sorry no phones or photos allowed there) then did some sightseeing

Dinner in the Meatpacking District at Mother-yum!!

Drinks at Mesteren & Laerling:

Sunday was jam packed with lots of sightseeing starting with coffee/breakfast at Anderson Bakery, the National Museum, City Hall Square and shopping allllll the way down Stroeget St

Nyhavn replica compliments of the Lego store:
Lunch at Torvehallerne Market- delicious local market where we got paella and a giant fishstick cake. Do you like fishsticks? Then you might be a gay fish...

Rosenborg Castle

Two types of Royal thrones:

Rundetaam Tower and Observatory

Post and Tele Museum

We finished our trip with a delicious dinner at Tight and a night at a well known Copenhagen jazz club, La Fontaine.

Copenhagen was a great stop for our first of many weekend trips. I can only hope to go back when it is a little warmer and visit Tivoli Gardens!
