The Past Few Months

Since it has been so long since my last post I thoguht I would give some cliff notes and pictures of what I have been up since April...

My Birthday
On my birthday weekend Matt surprised me and told me we were going somewhere on Saturday. When I walked downstairs our friends Jake and AK were there and there was a limo waiting for us outside! We took the limo to a little vinyard outside of Charlotte where they were having a festival. We sampled some wine, drank some bellinis and enjoyed the beautiful weather! Then we topped it off with dinner and drinks in uptown.

Costa Rica
At the end of May/Beginning of June I had a work trip to Costa Rica. We had 250 people at the Four Seasons in Peninsula Papagayo, Costa Rica. It was a great trip and probably the most fun I have had on a work trip. Some of the highlights I got to experience on this trip were: AMAZING zip lining, Catamaran Sail, Fire Dancers, 4 spa appointments (we had a lot of group cancellations), beach time, frozen mojitos (Four Seasons make the best ones EVER) and most importantly a private Third Eye Blind Concert. This particular group hires big name entertainment every year and this year it was Third Eye Blind- it was a fun concert and a GREAT work trip.

Kingsmore Family Beach Trip
My family rented a beach house at Isle of Palms and everyone came (my Grandparents, Parents, Aunt and Uncle, both Matt's, Brittney and Tyler). We had great weather and everyone had a blast (with the exception of my poor dad who was having awful nose bleeds all week-he really gave us a scare so his week consisted of laying on the couch)! :( Still, it was great to see everyone and spend time with our whole family in one of my favorite places!

Laurens Bachelorette Party
We stayed in the Omni in Charlotte and spent both nights going out in the Epicenter. I loved catching up with old friends! :)

Loadholdt Beach Week
Matts stepdad's family rents an AWESOME beach house at IOP every year. This year it was over the Fourth of July. The house is huge and right on the beach. It is always such a fun group and although we wish we could have stayed the whole week we had a great time while we were there. We concluded our week watching the Isle of Palms Fourth of July Parade which consisted of families decorating their golfcarts and driving them up and down ocean blvd.

Matts step brothers made a feast of fried desserts for everyone- they were amazing!
Hoosiers!
I have to brag on Matt for a minute...Matt is starting grad school in August. He applied to 3 differnet programs (Wake, UNC and Indiana) and not only was accepted into all of them but was offered great scholarships with all of them. Indiana is a top 25 MBA school and they offered a great scholarship and distance program, so starting in August Matt will officially be a Hoosier!

Courtney & Keiths Engagement Weekend
This past weekend we went to Greenville for Courtney & Keiths Engagement Party. We all went out in downtown Greenville Friday night, went bridesmaid dress shopping and to lunch at nose dive on Saturday and then to their engagement Party on Saturday night which was at The cliffs. The house was beautiful. They did a huge low country boil with 60 pounds of crawfish flown in!

I am leaving tonight for a 10 day work program in Italy followed by a 10 day vacation there with Matt. I cannot wait and I will definitely be posting all about our trip as soon as I return!
