Meanwhile In London...

It has been awhile since I have posted about London happenings so here are some things we have been up to here...

After my Dad left my Mom stayed and we had a day in London together. We saw the changing of the guards, made a Harrods trip and had dinner at my favorite Italian restaurant, Antico.

Matt and I took the tube to Greenwich and spent the day there. We went had lunch, went to the Greenwich Market, the Western Observatory to see the Prime Meridian Line, walked through the park and explored. It was a fun day!

We recently went to see Book of Mormon in the West End. It was such a good show and hilarious, Matt loved it too.

While we have been here Matt started a London Clemson Club where the alumni in London can get together for events. We have had 2 football viewing parties with over 10 ppl in attendence at each (not bad for an international club)!

One of my best friends, Courtney and her husband and Keith came here for a visit. It was the first stop of their trip (will post about the others later). So we did all the typical London things:

Hop on/hop off bus for site seeing and river cruise

Lunch and drinks in Lamb and Flag "the oldest pub on London."

We had afternoon tea at the Orangery at Kensington Palace. It was the first time I have had a proper tea and I have to admit...it was so much fun!

We has dinner in SOHO at Burger and Lobster...it was delicious! With drinks in Chinatown afterwards.

After London we all headed to Prague, Munich and Amsterdam, I will save those for the next post!

Prague....Czech! ✅

Saturday, 9/27- Tuesday, 9/30

Matt and I headed to Prague with 3 of our friends. We were not totally sure what to expect of the city. We had such a great time in this beautiful city and were pleasantly surprised by how inexpensive everything was there.

We stayed at the best air bnb spot right in the middle of town with a great view

We arrived on Saturday and headed to a nearby market for some street food.

Then to the Old Town Square

And dinner at Lokal

Sunday we had a private 4 hour tour with our guide, John. Here were some highlights:

Old Town Square: we got to see the astronomical clock go off and visited the church, Tyn.

Beethoven's old home

Charles Bridge

John Lennon Wall

Prague Castle
Matt and Keith with our guide, John
Bascillica of St. George at Prague Castle

Wine festival at Prague Castle

Monestary Brewery for lunch and drinks

Sunday night we had dinner at V Kolkovne

After dinner we headed to Absintherie to take part in what else? Some absinthe...

Monday we went out to explore on our own. First we went shopping at one of the bigger street markets. Followed by some street food...

Back to the Charles Bridge

Stopped at The Mill

Drinks at Lennon Pub

We went to an amazing beer garden over  looking the city

The walk back was so beautiful

Our last stop before dinner was the Prague Beer Museum followed by dinner at a Thai Restaurant.

Prague was such a beautiful city that is really unlike anywhere we have visited in Europe. We will definitely be back!
