We had such an amazing time in Cinque Terre that when we found plane tickets for 36 pounds per person over the fourth of July we decided we had to go back! This time Kate and Jay came with us! Here is a summary of our trip:
We stayed in a great apartment in Monterosso with an amazing view:
We tried to keep it patriotic on the Fourth of July in Monterosso:
Dinner at Da Eraldo with the amazing antipasta board
We spent Saturday at Monterosso beach soaking up some rays and swimming
Saturday night we took the train to Riomaggiore for some drinks with a view
Then headed to Manarola for dinner at Da Billy with lots of free after dinner drinks.
Sunday we hiked from Monterosso to Vernazza
Dinner at the amazing Gastronomia San Martino.
Our flight left late on Monday so we soent another day at Monterosso beach. We had a hellacious travel day home that night and everything that could go wrong did (train delay, had to have an expensive cab ride bc we missed our bus, flight delay, getting caught in a down pour that started while waiting in line to board our plane on the tarmat and lastly having to fly home soaking wet). But for Cinque Terre it was a small price to pay! ;)
