Happy Halloween!

So Halloween weekend in the Kern Household (first time I've ever used that phrase I swear :) was a success! On Friday night we had dinner at Frans Filling Station, which if you live in Charlotte I highly recommend you try! Then to see Paranormal Activity 2. The movie was good although it did not exactly live up all the hype BUT was still pretty scary. Most of the times when I see a horror movie in theaters I leave disappointed because it was not that scary- this was not one of those times.

Saturday was dedicated to running a few errands and cleaning. We had plans with friends that night to go to the Grave Diggers Ball at Dixies where Ke$ha and Kevin Rudolph were performing. We had people over at our place for drinks before we went out. We ended up having a decent turn out and it was a lot of fun! We left for Dixies around 11:00 but by the time we got to Dixies the concert was over (oops didn't get that memo!) So we stayed there for a little while before heading to another bar. We were dressed as Legends of the Hidden Temple Contestants.

Sunday we slept in, went and grabbed breakfast for lunch then watched horror movies all night. Last House on the Left (terrible), Paranormal Activity (awesome) and Paranormal Entity (blah!) Can you see a trend?? Most importantly, I waited to see if we had any trick or treaters (none!) Oh well maybe next year??
